Security Warning for iPhone owners

This new security concern was thought to have been remedied by Apple with updates pushed out twice back in May of this year, but the hacks also circumvent a new feature built into all versions of iOS 14 which is supposed to prevent these kinds of hacks by filtering malicious data sent over iMessage.

In its report, TechCrunch explained that the new Pegasus hack was discovered by an internet watchdog named citizen lab based at the University of Toronto and has been in operation for at least 6 months.

Apple is working on attempts to secure a message which has been a consistent Target for these hacks, when iOS 15 is released next month. IOS 14 will also introduce the new CSAM (child sexual abuse material) detection system which attempts to match images and Apple users iCloud libraries with known exploited material.
